BOCA RATON, Fla., March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Approximately 200 St. Andrews Country Club members filled the stands at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on February 27, 2012 to watch the evening's feature ATP Champions Tour match between Aaron Krickstein and Michael Chang. Aaron Krickstein has been the Director of Tennis at St. Andrews Country Club for 10 years and enjoys the opportunity to help kids and adults improve their tennis games.

Krickstein, formerly ranked as high as six in the world, is a nine-time ATP tour titlist and also still holds the records as the youngest player to win an ATP Tour event at age 16, and the youngest in the world top ten at age 17. During his career he had victories over Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg, McEnroe, Chang and Lendl, among others. Krickstein played well against Michael Chang, and to the thrill of his St. Andrews Country Club cheering section, won the match after two sets and a tie-breaker 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-6. Chang, 1989 French Open Champion and member of the US team which won the Davis Cup in 1990.

Saturday morning, February 25 featured Pat Cash vs. Krickstein. Cash won the junior titles at Wimbledon and the US Open in 1982 and went on to 1983, when he became the youngest player to play in a Davis Cup final. He won the decisive singles rubber against Joakim Nyström as Australia defeated Sweden 3–2 to claim the cup and won Wimbledon in 1987. Cash defeated Krickstein 2-6, 6-3, 10-8.
On Sunday afternoon, February 26, Krickstein took to the courts against Carlos Moya, 1998 French Open champion and a member of Spain's 2004 winning Davis Cup team, topped the South African Airways rankings on the ATP Champions Tour in 2011. Results of the match were 6-4, 6-4 with Moya defeating Krickstein and moving on to become the first player to claim a spot in the finals with a 3-0 record.
Aaron Krickstein was the highlight of Monday evening, February 27 with the winner of both Group A and Group B facing off early Tuesday evening, February 28. Other notable champions playing include Ivan Lendl, Mikael Pernfors, Jimmy Arias and Johan Kriek.
The Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC) celebrated its 20th Anniversary and is the world's only 10-day combined ATP Champions Tour & ATP World Tour event. The ATP Champions Tour features former World No.1's, Grand Slam finalists and champions, and Davis Cup winners. The eight-man field in Delray is divided into two round-robin groups of four, with the top player in each group meeting in the final. Matches are played over the best of three sets, with a first-to-ten point Champions' Tie-Break replacing a traditional third set.
ATP Champions Tour & ATP World Tour event took place February 24 - March 4 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Over the course of the ten-day event with non-stop on-court action, attendees and sponsors enjoyed a wide variety of on-site parties and concerts.
