SSA & Company Expands Team with Design and Technology Implementation Expert
Jason Meil Joins Firm as Managing Director, New Products and Innovation
NEW YORK, May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As design plays an increasingly important role in the world of operations, process, and technology, SSA & Company is leading this trend among strategic management consultancies. To point: SSA is bringing on a new Managing Director for New Products and Innovation – Jason Meil – who joins the company from Method, an international experience design firm. As Managing Director of Method's San Francisco headquarters, Meil oversaw business development and design output, working closely with companies such as Google, Microsoft, Flextronics, Samsung, Intel, Fujitsu, Charter Communications, Electronic Arts, First Republic Bank and Whole Foods.
In his new role at SSA, Meil will help build out the firm's suite of offerings for clients, adding expertise in service design and technology implementation to supplement SSA's deep capabilities in operational transformation. Meil brings an extensive portfolio in the areas of innovation, branding, and digital content. Prior to Method, Meil was EVP at Interpublic Group, where he led IPG/Initiative's award-winning Innovations group that identified new trends and technologies and created high-ROI programs across emerging platforms.
"At SSA, we are committed to finding ways to help our clients execute their strategies more effectively, and there is an increasing need in the market for more creative, design-driven solutions to operational and process challenges," says David Niles, president of SSA. "Having Jason's design point of view and experience creates opportunities for us to expand the solution set for clients – and expand our thinking about the challenges presented by moving from an analog to digital world. With Jason on our executive team, we will accelerate the evolution of our services to have more impact and relevance to today's CEO."
A key part of SSA's value proposition is helping complex organizations "de-clutter" their operating environments. "Jason's skill in service design and technology implementation will help us shape our services for the new generation of client and employee, as well as help us innovate our full range of services around execution and training," says Niles.
SSA's clients range from Fortune 50 global corporations to private equity portfolio companies, who operate in numerous industries – including energy, media, financial services, manufacturing, and education. SSA is part of G100 Companies, a partnership of leading professional service firms and executive membership networks.
"Over the years, more and more of my work has included a significant operations component: designing products and ecosystems to better serve customers and create value," says Meil. "Joining SSA gives me the ability to take this work to its logical next step in helping shape operations themselves where they can have greatest impact."
Prior to Method and Interpublic, Meil also held positions at Castling Group, Booz Allen, and Lehman Brothers. He holds a BA (magna cum laude) from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.
