SRA Awarded Prime Position on U.S. Army Automatic Identification Technology V Contract Vehicle
FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of sophisticated IT and professional services to U.S. federal government organizations, announced that the company was awarded one of three prime positions on the Automatic Identification Technology V (AIT-V) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle issued by the U.S. Army Product Director, Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (PD AMIS). Of the three prime contractors, SRA is the only large company (greater than 1,000 employees). The AIT-V contract vehicle has a ceiling of $181 million.
PD AMIS supports the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, federal agencies, North Atlantic Treaty Organization members, and coalition partners by providing automated identification and information technology solutions that enhance process efficiency and track the movement of personnel, equipment, and cargo from home station to destination and back. The AIT-V contract vehicle is intended to provide commercial hardware, software, documentation, and services that will support standardization across logistics activities and improve asset visibility worldwide.
Under the AIT-V contract vehicle SRA will leverage their deep experience with AIT and their partners' collective experience in AIT solutions, distribution, and academics to support the development, training, maintenance, and technical engineering services to help PD AMIS and its customers enhance their logistics tracking, locating, and monitoring of assets and processes.
