Squire Sanders Receives High Marks in First U.S. News-Best Lawyers 'Best Law Firms' Survey

CLEVELAND, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. is ranked among the top law firms in the United States in a new survey released by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers.

The rankings feature more than 8,000 law firms ranked in one or more of 81 major practice areas. The survey is based on information from law firms and law firm clients who  rated the law firms they believed to be the best in a given practice area. Law firm clients surveyed included every Fortune 100 company and 587 of the Fortune 1000. Those results were combined with more than 3.1 million evaluations of individual lawyers in the most recent Best Lawyers survey.

Squire Sanders received top national ranking in general commercial litigation and employment law – management. The firm scored national rankings in admiralty and maritime, bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization, corporate, insurance, labor law – management, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities/capital markets and tax law.

The firm also received first tier ranking in more than 30 practice areas in its offices in Arizona, California, Florida, New York, Ohio  and Washington DC.
