"I'm honored that Squire Sanders has entrusted me to lead this new industry group," said Cabrera. "This is an exciting and challenging mission – to expand the capabilities of an impressively strong real estate practice, create new opportunities to serve the housing industry, and ensure that our legal practice meets the changing needs of our clients in an increasingly complex environment for housing professionals of all stripes, be they investors, syndicators, public entities and housing agencies or for-profit and non-profit developers."
At Squire Sanders, Cabrera's practice will focus on federal, state and local regulatory housing matters as well as tax credit and bond financing, among others.
"Orlando is a well-regarded, leading authority on housing matters. His operational, legal and public service experiences are an important component to Squire Sanders' strategic decision to strengthen our already robust housing, tax credit and public finance practices.
