ST GEORGE, Utah, Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Squatty Potty, known for their development of the Squatty Potty® toilet stool and spray, held a Crap on Cancer promotion October 12, 2017, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The public responded, doubling sales to SquattyPotty.com for the one-day promotion. One hundred percent of profits from the website were donated to Intermountain Dixie Regional Medical Center Foundation.
Squatty Potty chose this foundation knowing that funds would directly benefit patients receiving treatments for breast cancer. Dixie Regional Medical Center provides services, including mammography, regardless of a patient's ability to pay and supports patient education and treatment.
"The future of our local hospitals is greatly benefited by the philanthropic commitment of those who are capable and willing to give. We are grateful for every contribution and specifically appreciate Squatty Potty's timely gift during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month," said Glenna Beyer, Chief Development Officer for the Southwest Region of Intermountain Healthcare.
Squatty Potty has a personal connection to this cause. "One of our own is a recent survivor of an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis and received lifesaving, world class treatment at this facility. It was a perfect fit for us to give back in a small way," explained Squatty Potty Co-founder, Bobby Edwards.
In addition to funds, 30 limited edition pink Squatty Potties were donated to the facility to support patients struggling with bowel issues that accompany cancer treatments.
