This year's conference, held Aug. 19-21 in Denver, educated 116 Partners, attorneys and employees on the operations tools and procedures needed to respond to a new regulatory environment and deliver an industry standard-setting customer experience.

"Beyond the Letter of the Law" attendees included lead and associate attorneys learning about customer disputes, collector training, litigation avoidance and policy implementation; and compliance officers learning about internal audit, compliance issues and trends, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

This year, 39 states offered CLE credits from the conference.
