SPS Named Skype for Business Launch Partner
PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Products and Services (SPS), a systems integrator and managed service provider, today announced that the company has been selected to participate in Microsoft's Skype for Business Launch Partner campaign. Partners are selected for the campaign based upon their proven track record of Lync deployments and early preparation on Skype for Business.
Microsoft announced that Lync had been rebranded as Skype for Business on March 16. Skype for Business brings together the familiar experience of Skype with the enterprise-grade security, compliance, and control of Lync. This campaign is designed to help customers choose qualified partners that can provide a full range of services from planning to adoption, deliver and support hybrid cloud deployments, and offer end-to-end solutions with qualified hardware and software vendors. To showcase Skype for Business launch partners, Microsoft has created a SkypeforBusiness.com microsite.
"SPS is honored to be selected by Microsoft as a Skype for Business launch partner," said Jim Maynard, executive vice president, solution development at SPS. "With multiple Microsoft Gold competencies and technical certifications, we continue to strengthen our longstanding partnership with Microsoft to jointly deliver collaborative solutions that are simple, integrated and easy to use."
The acquisition of California-based ExtraTeam in March, 2015 augmented the established enterprise SPS offer suite supporting Skype for Business. With five Microsoft MVPs, SPS has the breadth and depth of competency to design solutions across a broad range of customer environments and use cases.
"As a Skype for Business launch partner, SPS has demonstrated a high level of experience, training and commitment to the Lync and Skype for Business platform, and is prepared to help customers benefit from adopting Skype for Business," said Giovanni Mezgec, Microsoft GM of Skype for Business.
This week, SPS is exhibiting at Microsoft Ignite, and participating in multiple panel discussions. Microsoft Ignite attendees can visit SPS at booth #432 (McCormick Place, South Hall, Chicago IL).
