SPS Achieves Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification
PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Products and Services (SPS), a unified communications systems integrator and managed service provider, today announced that it has achieved the Cisco® Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification. This certification recognizes that SPS has the capabilities to sell and deliver cloud and managed services, helping its customers accelerate time to market and time to revenue.
SPS specializes in design, installation and support of unified communications and collaboration applications, including video, mobility, infrastructure, bridging, contact center, and the associated managed and cloud-based services. This certification extends on Cisco authorizations held by Providea, a video-specialized company acquired by SPS in 2012.
"Customers are looking at cloud and managed services to accelerate growth and reduce costs," said Mike Taylor, SPS Chief Technology Officer. "But cloud can mean different things, based on an organization's business needs and applications. Public, private, or even hybrid cloud deployments may be the best fit. Partnering with Cisco expands our cloud service capabilities, so we can offer a cost effective, flexible model that allows our customers to add services as their business needs change. This not only helps them manage IT spending, it gives them freedom to focus on their core business."
The Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Advanced Certification is part of the Cisco Cloud and Managed Services Program, focused on helping partners like SPS to design, build, market, and sell cloud and managed services to address the varied needs of its customers.
In addition, SPS has achieved Cisco Powered services designations in (Cloud Services): Cisco Powered Telepresence as a Service, and (Managed Services).
Cisco Powered services are establishing the industry standard for cloud and managed services. Based on validated architectures and end-to-end security, Cisco Powered services minimize technology lifecycle complexity to reduce cost and risk. To assure superior levels of service, security, and 24/7 support, Cisco partners offering Cisco Powered services must undergo a rigorous certification and third-party audit of their solutions. By using Cisco Powered services, organizations can achieve faster time-to-value, experience assured performance, leverage open standards with continuous innovation, and connect with confidence.
