Springfield to Welcome New Dickey's Barbecue Pit Location

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Aug. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- David Wells signed a franchise agreement to open two Dickey's Barbecue Pit locations in Missouri.

"I was looking for a strong Franchise to invest in and have eaten at Dickeys for several years. I really love it.  The small-unit concepts, like Qdoba and Chipotle, appeal to me and I finally settled on Dickey's," said Wells, who is currently the president of a Truck Cover accessory company.

Dickey's Barbecue is experiencing a rapid expansion nationally and currently has six locations operating in Missouri.

"Dickey's has a high quality of food, but is still a quick and easy stop, which allows me to limit my time at the food chain when I'm in a hurry!" said Wells.

This is the first franchise opportunity for David, who will also open two locations in Arkansas.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit continues to evolve its business, with the most recent development being the recent launch of the national catering hotline at 1-866- BARBECUE.

The original Dallas location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue Pit is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.

There are 165 locations in 38 states.
