Spring Snow Extends Taos Ski Valley's Season into Mid-April
All visitors including passholders from any resort to get significant discounts
TAOS, N.M., March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Taos Ski Valley will extend its season so skiers and riders can take advantage of the epic spring conditions, including several inches of new powder amid bluebird sunny days. Originally scheduled to close April 5, Taos will now be open April 10-12. In addition to the extended season, Taos will offer significant discounts, even greater than its standard late season rate.
The adult day rate for skiers April 10-12 will be $49, $10 off the standard late season rate, and kids can ski for only $40. Even more valuable, Taos Ski Valley will offer a rate of $40 for anyone holding a season pass from any other ski resort in the country. In addition, anyone at Taos for the extended weekend will be able to get the unbelievable discounted 'March Madness' sale on 2015-2016 season passes and ski the rest of this season for free.
"We're taking the unprecedented step of keeping Taos Ski Valley open into mid-April because we have amazing conditions and interest from our visitors who want to keep enjoying all that Taos has to offer," said Gordon Briner, Taos Ski Valley's CEO. "The discounts show how excited we are to share this terrain and these conditions with everyone who isn't ready to hang up the skis or snowboards, including those who spent their season elsewhere. We invite visitors and locals to come experience our gorgeous New Mexican spring."
Taos Ski Valley has had an epic season with new experiences such as the Kachina Peak chairlift opening, terrific snow and fabulous events. "This season is all about showing how Taos Ski Valley is committed to its community, its visitors and our culture as a resort. Our extended season is a way to say thank you to all who supported us this year and who continue to be excited about the enhancements in the upcoming seasons," continued Briner.
Selected amenities, beginner lifts and certain facilities at Taos Ski Valley will close as planned on April 5. Those interested in visiting during the extended season are encouraged to visit www.skitaos.org for detailed information on hours, open terrain and lifts, and pricing.
