Sprayground recognized by Adweek, Bloomberg, and Business of Fashion
NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprayground, the rebel accessories brand started by designer David Ben-David (D.B.D.) has received praise from some of the industry's top critics. It all began August 23rd, 2016 as Sprayground was featured in an article by Google titled "2016 Back To School Trends You Need to Know" which reported that Sprayground had been ranked the second most searched backpack brand on Google. The article was immediately picked up by industry magazine Adweek that went on to say, "While Herschel was popular last year, the top five for 2016 cover a wider range of styles and functionality. For example, the most searched backpack is Victoria Secret's campus brand, Pink. The second most popular is Sprayground, the visually bold brand that's been partnering with celebrities like rapper The Game and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (link below) Following the praise worthy article from Adweek, Sprayground was picked up another industry media outlet, Bloomberg with an article titled "How Backpacks With Attitude Hooked Beyonce, Kevin Durant, and Your Kid" (link below), featuring an exclusive interview with the company's Founder and Creative Director David Ben-David. From there the coverage continued with another feature by the popular, and well established fashion industry journal, Business Of Fashion. (link below)
So where did this rebel accessories brand begin, and how have they won the praise from some of the industries top critics?
Sprayground originally began by creating backpacks designed for street artists to easily transport spray cans, and has evolved into a collection of original designs created by DBD. Sprayground, originally founded in 2010 was at the forefront of the backpack renaissance, propelling a once monochromatic travel accessory, into a wearable work of art.
Sprayground continues to grow their roster of partnerships with professional athletes, and celebrities and initially found success by connecting their bold, statement-making bags with creative-minded celebrities and artists including Chris Brown, Christina Milian, Spike Lee, Odell Beckham Jr. and Patrick Ewing. Additional upcoming releases include collaborations with such icons as JR Smith, Young Thug, and Antonio Brown. Designed in limited quantities, Sprayground collections are never re-released, making them collectibles among brand followers.
