sPower President J.I. "Chip" Everest to Retire at the End of March

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- sPower, a leading renewable energy provider, today announced the retirement of company president J.I. "Chip" Everest effective March 31, 2015.  As a founder of sPower, Everest served as CFO and later as its president.  He has overseen tax equity and other financings during sPower's rapid growth over the last three years. 

"Chip's ability to create relationships with key financial partners has been a driving force in sPower's success.  He leaves big shoes to fill," said sPower's CEO Ryan Creamer.  "But we are excited that he will be able to spend time enjoying his many passions in life."

sPower is the latest company Everest co-founded with Ryan Creamer, CEO, and Steve Creamer, executive chairman (EnergySolutions, Inc. and ISG Resources, which was sold to Headwaters, Inc.). Everest currently serves on a number of non-profit boards across the country.
