Sponsorships Available for the Promising Practices Conference to Promote Tobacco-Free Active Living and Healthy Eating in Low Socioeconomic Status Communities, hosted by the Health Education Council's Break Free Alliance
WASHINGTON, Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- How do you reach more than 500 health equity leaders, public health advocates, experts in healthy eating and active living, tobacco control experts, and representatives from organizations serving low SES populations? The answer is found at the Promising Practices Conference. Building on the successes of three national conferences, the Health Education Council's Break Free Alliance is honored to host Promising Practices to Promote Tobacco-Free Active Living and Healthy Eating in Low Socioeconomic Status Communities.
This biennial conference is the only practice-based conference dedicated to addressing tobacco-related and obesity-related health disparities and chronic disease in low socioeconomic status (SES) populations. The conference will be April 28-29, 2014 in Washington, D.C. and will take place in the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport.
Conference planning has begun and many sponsorship opportunities are available. There are eight sponsorship packages offered for potential sponsors to choose the level of support that is best geared to their organizational strategies and goals. Packages can also be tailored to specifically meet the needs of the company or organization.
Sponsorship and exhibiting in the Promising Practices Conference provides:
- a minimum of three (3) hours contact time in the exhibit hall with tobacco control, obesity prevention, and health disparities leaders at the national, state and local levels;
- greater visibility with these leaders by having your name and logo prominently displayed at the conference, on conference print materials and on the Promising Practices conference website (promisingpracticesconference.org);
- a better understanding of the major trends in identifying, addressing and eliminating health disparities from professionals in the field.
"We are looking forward to meeting all of the people across the country who support our mission and the mission of the Health Education Council," says Janet Porter, Break Free Alliance Program Director. "This will be the first Promising Practices conference dedicated to not only tobacco prevention and cessation but also active living and healthy eating. People who attend this conference will be able to distribute and exchange the latest information and practices about tobacco prevention as well as overall healthy living at the community and systems levels."
