MIAMI, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Scholars for Peace in the Middle East and the Sue and Leonard Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies at the University of Miami will hold an international conference, entitled "Fifty Years of the Special US-Israel Relationship (1962-2012): Walt-Mearsheimer in Perspective," in Miami, FL, January 16-18, 2011. The focus of the conference will be to examine the special relationship between the US and Israel over the last 50 years and to explore directions and possibilities for the future of that relationship. The impact of Walt and Mearsheimer in inspiring attacks on the US-Israel special relationship will also be analyzed.
There is still time to submit program abstracts, papers, panels and proposals, the deadline for which has been extended to October 15, 2010. Submissions must received no later than 5 PM Pacific time, sent to Dr. Sam Edelman, SPME Executive Director at [email protected] . The proposal must be sent in MS Word File and should include contact information and a brief resume or bio of the presenter(s).
