SPM will help the Austin, Texas-based company introduce its stylish, durable, comfortable sandals, made with 50 percent APX® upcycled tire rubber. It also will help share AFL's earth-saving mission to reduce the number of used tires going into landfills or being burned and emitting toxins into the air.
"Austin Footwear Labs was born from a desire to prove that you do not have to compromise quality and fashion when you choose eco-friendly footwear and apparel," said Austin Footwear Labs President Fitz Lee. "Partnering with SPM is an important step in getting the word out about Austin Footwear Labs' earth-saving mission and cutting-edge technology that turns tires into high-quality sandals and other products."
The Austin-born brand launched in summer 2015 and currently sells its shoes online at www.austinfootwearlabs.com. It is the first footwear company that incorporates APX® upcycled tire rubber into its high-quality, sustainable shoes.
"We seek out clients who do well by doing good, and we believe in Austin Footwear Labs' mission and product," said SPM founder and President Suzanne Miller. "Customers increasingly expect more from the brands they choose. We will help AFL educate media and consumers about how the company is breaking technological barriers and taking green to a new level."
