SpinMedia Group Announces Tom Morrissy as New Chief Revenue Officer
Media and entertainment veteran brings 20+ years of experience to SpinMedia Group
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SpinMedia Group announced today the appointment of Tom Morrissy as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. With more than 20 years of experience in media and entertainment, Morrissy has a proven record of building entertainment and celebrity-lifestyle properties across all platforms. As Chief Revenue Officer, Morrissy will report to CEO Dale Strang and be responsible for leading the organization's sales and growth strategies. Morrissy is the first senior executive hire at SpinMedia Group, the newly formed and capitalized entity which recently acquired the assets of SpinMedia LLC.

Morrissy is an entertainment and digital media leader with expertise in building significant, multi-platform initiatives. As the former publisher of Entertainment Weekly and OK! Magazine and their digital properties, Morrissy is also known for his creative, collaborative relationships with editors. Morrissy worked extensively with mobile, video and social platforms while leading the teams for Synaptic Digital and Selectable Media. In addition to his role at SpinMedia Group, Morrissy is also joining the Board at Selectable Media where he was EVP/Chief Revenue Officer.
