Coates, President of Houchens Industries, Inc., located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been named the 2010 Outstanding Board of Governors Member by The ESOP Association.  The award was presented at the Association's 33rd Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.  The ESOP Association is the national trade association for companies with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and the leading voice in America for employee ownership.

Mr. Coates has been an active member of The ESOP Association for many years serving in numerous volunteer positions over the years.  He is a strong supporter of the Employee Ownership Foundation, the affiliated foundation of The ESOP Association, and active in government relations activities of the Association.
