Speed Limit Restrictions to Be Lifted on All PA Interstates at 6 p.m.
HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- At 6 p.m. tonight, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, PennDOT and the state police will lift the speed restrictions on all Pennsylvania interstates.
The roadways no longer subject to the reduced 45 mph speed are interstates 78, 81, 84 and 380.
PennDOT will continue to treat roadways until the roads are clear, however their primary goal is to keep roads passable, but not completely free of ice and snow.
PEMA also reminds citizens that downloadable materials, including home and car emergency kit checklists and emergency plan templates, are available at www.ReadyPA.org or by calling 1-888-9-READYPA.
Because weather and road conditions can deteriorate quickly, motorists should always check the weather forecast before traveling. Road conditions for interstates and some limited-access highways are available by visiting www.511pa.com before you leave home, or by calling 511 while stopped in a safe location.
