Spectra Energy Issues Sustainability Report
New Report Charts Company's Progress on Its Commitment to Operate in an Economically, Environmentally and Socially Responsible Manner
HOUSTON, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Spectra Energy (NYSE: SE) today announced its 2011 Sustainability Report is now available in both a print and online version. The report, "What's Important to You Is Important to Us," offers detailed descriptions of the company's commitment to operating in an economically, environmentally and socially responsible manner, as part of its long-term business strategy.
As with prior reports, which are issued bi-annually, the 2011 report includes in-depth information about Spectra Energy's progress on its sustainability objectives, its operations, the natural gas industry and the key roles the company plays in the natural gas value chain. This year's edition takes an even more comprehensive look at the company's commitment to safety and stakeholder engagement and, for the first time, includes five-year trend data.
In addition, the print version features Quick Response, or QR, codes that allow smartphone users to link to more information in the online report.
