Special One Sparks Money for Chelsea

Chelsea have been cut into 5/2 with Betfred to win the Premier League in 2013/14 following the news that Jose Mourinho has returned to the club as their new manager.

Punters are expecting the Special One to help the Blues challenge for the title next season and deliver his third league trophy to Stamford Bridge. If he is to do so he will have to break the Manchester stronghold with City and United both in at 2/1.

Mourinho departed the West London club in 2007 and is 5/2 to see out his new four-year contract. Betfred make him 2/7 favourite though to leave before the end of that spell.

The Portuguese coach has won the Champions League with two different clubs but never with Chelsea. The reigning Europa League winners are 12/1 to win Europe's premier competition in 2013/14. A trophy of any kind apart from the Super Cup is 6/5 in his first season back at the club.

Big names are likely to follow Mourinho into Stamford Bridge this summer. Wayne Rooney is 13/8 to make the move from Manchester United, Edison Cavani is 11/4, while Cristiano Ronaldo is 4/1.
