Special Olympics Georgia to host 3rd annual Over the Edge Event at Buckhead Tower in Atlanta!
ATLANTA, April 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lenox Square Mall Area---Saturday, April 26, 2014 – Over 100 people will rappel from a 20-story building April 26 in the Atlanta area for an event to benefit Special Olympics Georgia and our 26,702 athletes! This is the third year of the event and is expected to raise over $150,000 for the organization. Special Olympics Georgia thanks AutoTrader.com as the presenting sponsor of the event.
Participants raised at least $1,000 for the opportunity to go Over the Edge at The Buckhead Tower at Lenox Square, located at 3399 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30326 off of Lenox Road. Participants are men, women and children who are brave enough to rappel 20 stories! The first participant will rappel at 9 a.m. so come out and cheer on these courageous individuals. Stacey Weiss, wife of Bert Weiss from Q100's The Bert Show, will be rappelling as Batgirl! Along her side will be DJ Adam Bomb from Nights Live with Adam Bomb on Q100. There will also be three Special Olympics Georgia athletes rappelling! Special Olympics Georgia would like to thank all of the edgers and volunteers for their participation.
