Sparks Grove Expands New York Office
Firm Hires Two Seasoned Professionals to Create Meaningful Human Experiences
ATLANTA, June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sparks Grove, an experience design division of global consulting firm North Highland, has hired seasoned creative designer Joseph Agresta and innovative client service executive Michael Schlechter in its fast-growing New York office.
In their new roles, Agresta and Schlechter will help clients design and build meaningful human experiences to engage customers and cultivate growth for brands.
"As we continue to invest in bringing the region's best talent to our New York office, we are thrilled to have Joe and Michael join the Sparks Grove team," said Alex Bombeck, President of Sparks Grove. "Their backgrounds embody the kind of cross-functional experience we are focused on bringing to our clients' growth and customer experience efforts."
Schlechter, who joined the team on June 1 as a senior director in the New York office, is a future-focused marketer and client advocate who has advised major brands including Charles Schwab, IBM and Citibank. He has extensive experience in all aspects of digital and will focus on growing Sparks Grove's presence in the New York region.
Before joining Sparks Grove, Schlechter led accounts at Havas Worldwide for more than seven years and, as a managing director at Code Worldwide, helped clients optimize and manage marketing efforts through smart technology.
"There were two reasons I couldn't pass up an opportunity to work for Sparks Grove. The first was a chance to work with the President of Sparks Grove, Alex Bombeck, who mentored me early in my career, and the second was to help an innovative agency grow its presence in the tri-state area," said Schlechter.
Agresta, who also joined Sparks Grove on June 1 as associate creative director, has a deep understanding of client culture and process, as well as vast design experience for major brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Samsung and Sharp. Most recently at MRM/McCann in New York, he served as the senior art director for the U.S. Army focusing on the organization's digital designs and creative concepts. Agresta brings a unique, cross-functional perspective to clients based on years of visual design experience, paired with his MBA in Marketing and Consumer Behavior.
"Sparks Grove provides me an opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, innovative and creative team, which is something I could not turn down," said Agresta. "I'm also excited to join the growing New York office, where we have a huge opportunity to build Sparks Grove's presence like the agency has done in markets such as Atlanta."
