Sovereign Health Offers September Continuing Education Opportunities

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sovereign Health, a national behavioral health system, is hosting three continuing education (C.E.) events this month. Each course meets the qualifications for one hour of C.E. credit required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and is approved for one contact hour by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

September 14 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PDT – How to Build Your Self-Esteem – Sovereign Health of Los Angeles – Darlene Lancer, a licensed psychotherapist and relationship and codependency expert, will explain the self-esteem, which determines our sense of well-being and ability to enjoy satisfying relationships and pursue goals. She will explain the way to identify the symptoms and signs of low self-esteem and high self-esteem, besides, the useful techniques to build self-esteem in clients during the course. Further, she will elaborate the importance of anxiety, common reactions and treatment strategies to help clients better manage anxiety allowing them to lead more successful and productive lives. September 26 from 1:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT – Treating the Personality in the Addictive Personality – Sovereign Health San Clemente – Anthony J. Mele, Psy.D., Chief Clinical Officer at Sovereign Health and a licensed psychologist with more than twenty-five years of experience in behavioral healthcare, will explain the co-occurrence of Borderline Personality Disorder and Substance Abuse Disorders, effects of substance abuse on brain structure and cognitive functioning, and the specific challenges that occur during treatment.
