SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recent quarterly report by Harvard Medical School Affiliate McLean Hospital, Sovereign Health's Residential and Partial Hospitalization Program patients had marked improvements in their treatment outcomes from admission to discharge, particularly in the area of depression. Sovereign's residential patients self-reported that their functional deficits and symptom severity due to depression had decreased by nearly 58 percent after treatment.

The independent Quarter 4 report, which covered October through December 2016, also indicated that Sovereign Health received outstanding scores in all symptom domains, outperforming 50 other Joint Commission-accredited treatment networks.  In addition, the data showed that Sovereign's performance was especially impressive regarding treatment outcomes surrounding patients' overall mental health and well-being.

The national average for the same domain, per the report, was 37 percent.

The company also performed exceptionally well overall in reducing other patient self-reported symptoms and functional difficulty from admissions through discharge. In the domain of substance abuse, for example, patients reported a reduction of 70.3 percent, and for the domain of self-harm, a 60.8 percent reduction when comparing feedback obtained at admission and at discharge.
