SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Oct. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sovereign Health, a leading national licensed provider of behavioral health treatment services, has entered into a new partnership with Argosy University at local campuses in the Inland Empire in California and in Phoenix, Arizona. The Argosy University-Sovereign Health partnership provides students in the doctoral programs with the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience that will allow them to complete the necessary clinical training to graduate and move on to become practitioners. The students, who will work as practicum interns at Sovereign Health, will complete a 12-month practicum, working 16 to 24 hours per week providing patient care for Sovereign patients. Managed by Sovereign Health's clinical leadership, the Argosy students will guide their patients through their individual and group therapy sessions, as well as serve as their patients' primary clinician.

Sovereign Health currently has Argosy University students enrolled in the internship program at its Chandler, Arizona, facility. In addition, Sovereign Health will also launch this internship program at its Palm Desert, California, facility.
