Southwire SIMpull Solutions® Suite Introduced To Energy Industry As Productivity Booster
Cable-in-Conduit First SIMpull Solutions Certified Product Released
CARROLLTON, Ga., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwire is introducing SIMpull® Cable-in-Conduit for utility customers as the first certified SIMpull Solutions® product developed for the energy industry.
Southwire SIMpull Solutions products and services are focused on the mission of improving productivity, safety and profitability. The Southwire Energy Division recognizes the importance utilities and their partners who service the industry place on innovative thinking and technological leadership that improve performance in the field.
SIMpull® Cable-in-Conduit saves installation time and improves jobsite safety. As the only full-line manufacturer of cable and conduit, Southwire has combined these products in this first member of the Southwire SIMpull Solutions® suite of products and services for utility customers, replacing Sentry CIC® cable in its product lineup.
"Southwire SIMpull Solutions products are specifically designed to increase jobsite productivity, safety and profitability. SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit meets several important needs for our energy industry customers," said Michael Tribble, North American Sales Vice President Cable-in-Conduit. "SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit can be custom ordered so that nearly any cable we manufacture can be delivered already inside the conduit. This step reduces the chances of the cable being damaged during transportation or installation, while eliminating exposure to harsh environmental conditions."
SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit provides easy one-step installation, cutting equipment costs and reducing the amount of time workers spend installing product. Safety is improved as less time is required with open trenches, along traffic right-of-ways and pulling heavy cables. SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit is available in aluminum and copper conductors and low voltage thru medium voltage constructions and comes in a variety of conduit sizes. Continuous lengths mean no gluing of sticks of pipe, and the high-density polyethylene conduit meets ASTM and UL standards. Southwire backs SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit with a one-year warranty.
Southwire's SIMpull Cable-in-Conduit is available in a variety of standard reels with conduit ranging from ¾-inch to 3-inch sizes, but can be ordered in hundreds of different configurations depending on job specifications.
