Skystream install program helps consumers take advantage of their wind resource

This program will allow consumers access to Southwest Windpower's groundbreaking small wind system while helping reduce their energy bills and impact on the environment.
Southwest Windpower selected Home Depot stores in locations with an ideal wind resource for distributed wind energy production to participate in the Skystream install program. Currently available at select stores in Texas, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and most recently, California, the company plans to expand the program to windy locations across the United States. Southwest Windpower's Skystream 3.7 is globally recognized as the first compact, all-inclusive grid-connected personal wind turbine. Ideal for applications on farms, homes and businesses, Skystream 3.7 is designed to work in very low winds, with controls and inverter built in, and produce up to 400 kWh of clean electricity per month depending on the wind resource and site location.
Skystream 3.7 will range in price based on location of the installation. Customers may be eligible for a variety of renewable energy incentives, including a 30 percent federal tax credit for qualified consumers and local incentives available through state governments and utilities.
