Southwest American Indian Housing Summit to Explore Solutions for Homelessness On and Off Native Land
Community Groups Highlight Best Practices for Providing Homes and Services
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Homelessness is a significant and growing problem in the tribal community with nearly 90,000 Native Americans across the country either homeless or underhoused. Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. (Enterprise), Corporation of Supportive Housing and the New Mexico Housing Finance Authority will hold a day long session on April 13, 2010, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with leading housing experts from the Native American community to share and discuss successful models in permanent supportive housing, including the Albuquerque urban project, Dream Catcher Homes and the Anishinabe Wakiagun.
