Southwest Airlines Pilots Congratulate NetJets Pilots on Ratified Contract
Southwest pilots approaching year four of their contract negotiations
DALLAS, Dec. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Statement to be attributed to Captain Mike Panebianco, vice president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots' Association (SWAPA).
"The pilots of Southwest Airlines congratulate the NetJets pilots on the successful ratification of a contract that recognizes and rewards their contributions to the brand and professionalism in the cockpit. NJASAP, under the leadership of Pedro Leroux, developed and implemented a strategy for success. Despite an initial demand for deep concessions from management, NJASAP stood firm, and, with a unified pilot group, was able to achieve gains in wages, benefits and working conditions unmatched in the fractional community. SWAPA applauds the efforts of the entire NetJets pilot group and congratulates them on a well-deserved contract."
Located in Dallas, Texas, the Southwest Airlines Pilots' Association (SWAPA) is a non-profit employee organization representing the more than 8,300 pilots of Southwest Airlines.
