DALLAS, March 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) celebrates one year of service into the New Jersey/New York area via Newark Liberty International Airport with the lowest fares of the season. The airline is offering Customers air fares starting as low as $69 one-way to select destinations nationwide (see fare rules below). These low fares are available for purchase only at www.southwest.com or www.swabiz.com today through April 2, 2012, 11:59 pm PT. The 14-day advance purchase fares are available for travel from April 10, 2012 to June 2, 2012 (blackout dates apply). - $69 one-way between Newark Liberty International and Baltimore/Washington
- $99 one-way between Newark Liberty International and Chicago Midway
- $119 one-way between Newark Liberty International and Lambert St. Louis International
- $128 one-way between Newark Liberty International and Dallas Love Field
Also, in celebration of Southwest's first year of service from Newark International Airport, the carrier is hosting an anniversary party in Gates A14 and A15 in Newark International's main terminal today. Employees and Customers will have the opportunity to enjoy food, FUN, games, and music.

Fares are only available only on southwest.com or swabiz.com and can be purchased today, through April 2, 2012, 11:59 pm PT, with a 14-day advance purchase required. Travel must take place through June 2, 2012 and blackout dates apply: May 24, 25 and May 28, 2012. Displayed prices are inclusive of all government taxes and fees. Seats are limited. Fares may vary by destinations, flight, and day of the week and won't be available on some flights during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Fares are available for one-way travel. Fares may be combined with other Southwest Airlines combinable fares. If combining with other fares, the most restrictive fare's rules apply. Fares are not combinable with Senior Fares. Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are not available through Group Desk. Any change in itinerary may result in increase in fare.
