BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Southern Research today officially revealed a new brand identity, which encompasses a refreshed corporate logo, message, and design, as well as a forthcoming website redesign. The changes will emphasize cohesion across all four of its divisions – drug discovery, drug development, engineering, and energy and environment. The change will also discourage abbreviations, such as SRI, to ensure brand differentiation among similarly named nonprofit organizations across the U.S.
The need to better represent Southern Research's talented people and highlight the size and scope of the organization's work was the impetus for the new branding, which debuts as a number of high profile programs have been launched at Southern Research within the past year including the Alliance for Innovative Medical Technology (AIMTech), Southeastern Solar Research Center (SSRC), and the Southern Biologics Network (SBN).
