Southern California McDonald's Restaurants Partners With Local Schools To Raise Funds And Support Education Initiatives
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California McDonald's restaurants are lending a helping hand to local schools during the month of October through their McTeacher's Night fundraising initiative. Educators from local schools are trading in their positions in the classroom for a post behind McDonald's front counter. A portion of proceeds from each event will be donated to participating schools. Donations are often used to help fund educational programs, support booster clubs, fund field trips, and purchase school supplies.
"McTeacher's Night allows our local McDonald's owner/operators to partner with school administrators and directly support our school systems," said Clay Paschen, III, McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC). "Our local owner/operators enjoy their role within the community the most and are eager to be able to provide such a fun, family-friendly event inside their restaurants."
Families of students and community members are encouraged to visit their local McDonald's and help support these educators and their schools. School administrators interested in participating in McTeacher's Night, are encouraged to contact their local McDonald's restaurant and ask for details.
In addition to McTeacher's Night, McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC) offers programs and services to Southern California schools and students through initiatives focused on education, nutrition and scholarships. MOASC is composed of more than 600 franchised and company-owned McDonald's restaurants in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.
