Southern California McDonald's® Introduces McCafe® Real Fruit Smoothies

LOS ANGELES, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- As summer heats up, Southern California McDonald's® is offering customers a new and refreshing way to cool down with the introduction of McCafe® Real Fruit Smoothies.  Now available at McDonald's restaurants in Southern California and nationwide, McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies are offered in two flavors: Wild Berry or Strawberry Banana, and feature real fruit, fruit juice and low-fat yogurt blended with ice.

McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies will be sold at breakfast and throughout the day in three sizes: small (12-ounces), medium (16-ounces), and large (22-ounces), at a suggested retail price of $2.29.  Price and participation may vary.

"We are thrilled to expand the McCafe product line with the introduction of McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies," said Neal Ruby, president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC). "We believe McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies will not only add a new dynamic to the McCafe menu, but will also help solidify McDonald's as the number one destination for beverages."

Guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary 5-ounce sample of McCafe Real Fruit Smoothies from July 22 to July 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at participating Southland McDonald's restaurants.
