Southern California Developments win High Honors at Nationals 2017

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning, Los Angeles-based Architecture Firm, Newman Garrison + Partners received Silver Award Honors at the Nationals 2017 for Best in American Living (BALA) and Best Architectural Design of an Attached Community. The Nationals salutes and honors the best in the building industry for their determination, integrity, and creativity and endurance.

During a three-day judging process, a panel of seven industry professionals from across the country determined the award winners from a field of over 1,100 entries.

Best in American Living (BALA) is an award based on overall exterior and interior architecture, design appeal, function and creative use of interior space and creative integration of plan design within site considerations. Newman Garrison + Partners received this prestigious award for their design of Runway at Playa Vista - a modern luxury community in Playa Vista, CA that features 203 residential apartments ranging from 588-1300 sq. ft. with an overall design inspired by the classic architecture of Venice Beach. They worked in partnership with Phoenix Property Company and Lincoln Property Company to transform Howard Hughes' former airport into a social core of Playa Vista.

Best Architectural Design of an Attached Community was awarded to Newman Garrison + Partners for their architectural design of the multi-family community West Park at Civita in San Diego. This project developed in partnership with Sudberry properties features 612 units ranging from 546 to 1,355 sq. ft. and extensive recreational amenities in a park-like setting. The award was based on many elements of the project including exterior design/curb appeal, interior design/interior architecture, site plan, unit plans, amenities.
