South Texas Money Management (STMM) Named PSN "Bull & Bear Masters" for Investment Performance by Informa Investment Solutions for the Three-Year Period Ended December 31, 2014
SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- South Texas Money Management announced it was named one of PSN's "Bull & Bear Masters" for investment performance by Informa Investment Solutions (IIS) in the peer group "PSN Global Equity" for the three-year period ended December 31, 2014.
Jeanie Wyatt, CFA®, CEO & Chief Investment Officer of South Texas Money Management said, "At South Texas Money Management, our discipline is to be strategically diversified at all times. We work to accomplish this, not with portfolios of mutual funds, but with fifty-to-sixty highly researched individual stocks that provide exposure to both growth and value investment styles, domestic and international companies, all market capitalizations and no big sector bets. The goal with this strategy is to limit downside risk, what the consultants call good upside and downside capture ratios. This 'Bull & Bear Masters' designation is a nice confirmation that we are achieving that goal."
Jim Kee, Ph.D., President and Chief Economist added, "STMM takes the stewardship of our client's investment portfolios very seriously. Our disciplined strategy of diversification across multiple facets has always placed just as much emphasis on protecting capital during equity market disruptions as it has on participating in rising markets during the good times."
Kee continued, "Attributing to our successful strategy execution is our deep bench of investment professionals that includes 8 CFA® charterholders, 5 CFP® professionals, 8 MBAs, 2 JDs, and one Ph.D. I want to congratulate our entire team for helping STMM earn this prestigious award."
On numerous occasions, PSN has named STMM a "Top Gun" for quarterly performance in their style. STMM was also named "Top Guns of the Decade" for the ten-year period ending December 31, 2010.
