South Florida Technology Alliance Delivers 2010 State of the Technology Industry Report to Full House
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ --
The South Florida Technology Alliance (SFTA), an organization promoting the growth, success and awareness of the South Florida technology community, held its 2010 kick off event at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott North on January 28th with an all-star line up of presenters and a full house of attendees.
The evening started at 4:30pm with a special workshop, Cloud computing: Scenarios for Applying it and Its Impact on Business, presented by Nicole Denil of Microsoft Corporation.
The 135 member audience was then treated to the annual SFTA State of the Technology Industry Report. This year's featured keynote speaker was Akshay Sharma of Gartner Research, who also moderated an illustrious panel of South Florida CIO's that included Bill Hicks of Ultimate Software, Sergio Garcia of BankUnited, Doug Cormany of Preferred Care Partners and Rudy Ibarra of St. Thomas University. The CIOs discussed the technology directions, challenges and opportunities of their organizations for 2010.
