South Carolina Virtual Charter School to Graduate Largest Class in School History

COLUMBIA, S.C., June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- South Carolina Virtual Charter School (SCVCS), a tuition-free, online public school, will honor the Class of 2015 at a graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 4, at Brookland Conference Center in West Columbia, SC. This year, more than 200 students will receive their high school diplomas from SCVCS, as part of the school's largest graduating class to date.

The SCVCS Class of 2015 earned a combined total of more than $4M in college scholarships. Graduates are expected to pursue higher education at institutions including Clemson University Honors College, Syracuse University, Pennsylvania State University and University of Oregon. The Class of 2015 includes eight Palmetto Fellows Scholarship candidates, 72 LIFE Scholarship candidates and an Eagle Scout.

SCVCS is an education option open to students from across the state of South Carolina. By combining online instruction, hands-on curriculum and the support of highly qualified, South Carolina-certified teachers, SCVCS cultivates an individualized education for each student, designed to let them discover the learning style that works best for them.
