SourceRight Solutions Executive to Deliver Insight Into Blended Workforce Research During This Week's HRO Today Forum
-In-depth Analysis of Blended Workforce Management Conducted in Partnership with Bersin & Associates-
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SourceRight Solutions today announced that its president, Rebecca Callahan, will deliver a "sneak peek" into the top-line results of a new blended workforce management study. The study was conducted in concert with industry researchers at Bersin & Associates on the topic of strategic talent optimization, the integration of RPO and MSP capabilities to manage the complex blended workforce supply chain. Callahan will unveil topline findings at this week's HRO Today Forum, which is being held in Las Vegas from May 23-25, 2011.
By definition, Strategic Talent Optimization (STO) requires rethinking enterprise workforce planning, service delivery and resourcing to create a single, integrated hiring experience for managers and job candidates. Survey participant feedback revealed the top pressures impacting talent acquisition include meeting company growth objectives and competing for talent. As a result, two-thirds of respondents agree that a blended workforce strategy is important or extremely important to meeting company business objectives.
An integral component in a blended workforce strategy is the increasing use of free agent talent. According the survey's findings nearly 40 percent of companies expect to expand their use of free agents, with professional, IT and finance experiencing the highest utilization rates. Sixty-four percent believe blended workforce management will increase talent agility and scalability in order to align with rapidly changing business needs.
Callahan observed, "Our Strategic Talent Optimization research has uncovered some very compelling talent acquisition and management trends. For example, it's clear that procuring talent from a single point of contact is gaining support due to the complexities associated with managing the growing number of talent supply channels. Our research respondents also weighed in on their increasing use of free agent talent, which is a pivotal element in today's rapidly evolving blended workforce."
The online survey was completed by 190 respondents during April and May 2011. Respondents to the survey included:
- C-level Executives |
28% |
|
- Vice Presidents |
19% |
|
- Directors |
23% |
|
- Managers |
16% |
|
As support of the growing need to expand talent supply channels, 61 percent of respondents indicated they expect to increase their use of social and digital media to source, nurture and engage talent over the next 18-24 months. However, when asked to evaluate their current capabilities, respondents rated their ability to leverage social, digital and mobile media a 2.1 out of 4, with 4 being the highest.
The full report will be available during Summer 2011. Callahan's presentation of the top-line findings is one of five sessions being delivered by SourceRight Solutions at the HRO Today Forum.
