According to Ramon Rodriguez, Wyckoff's President and CEO, the hospitalist program is designed to provide better access to physicians and more continuity of care for patients during their hospital stay. "I am excited about any initiative which improves the quality of patient care," Mr. Rodriguez said. "Our hospitalist program enables Wyckoff, as a community hospital, to make a doctor available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the patient. Chief Medical Officer Gustavo Del Toro, MD, explained that Sound Physicians will provide hospitalist services for a 45-bed unit of medical/surgical patients including those admitted through the emergency department. "These are all highly skilled physicians. We are pleased to welcome them to Wyckoff, and we look forward to working with Sound Physicians to serve our patients, and our community, better," Dr. Del Toro added.
Working with Wyckoff Heights Medical Center's team, Sound Physicians will introduce its SoundConnect workflow and communications platform and processes to drive improvements in inpatient care outcomes, as well as financial performance.
