Sotera Wireless Expands Board Of Directors
SAN DIEGO, June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sotera® Wireless, Inc., developer of the ViSi Mobile® wireless patient monitoring system, today announced it has appointed Charles "Chuck" Sted to its board of directors. Following the recent appointment of Bert Zimmerli, Intermountain Healthcare CFO, this appointment brings additional healthcare provider experience to the Company's board.
Until March 2013, Sted served as president and chief executive officer of Hawaii Pacific Health, a clinically integrated system of four hospitals, 49 clinics, 350 employed and 700 active independent medical staff producing $1 billion in annual net revenue. Prior to joining Hawaii Pacific Health in 1998, he was chief financial officer of Bank of America-Hawaii for more than five years. His background also includes senior financial positions at The Queen's Health System and at Ernst & Young, where he was a partner.

Sted was a member of the Board of Trustees of Hawaii Pacific University where he served as its chairman from 2009 to 2011. He has also been a director of Hawaii Pacific Health since 2004 and is active in a number of regional and national organizations.
Sotera's FDA-approved ViSi Mobile System continuously monitors all core vital signs - blood pressure, heart rate or pulse rate, electrocardiogram (ECG) or heart rhythm, blood oxygenation level, respiration rate and skin temperature - with the monitoring accuracy typically found in intensive care units. The ViSi Mobile System is able to wirelessly transmit patient vital sign information to remote viewing or notification devices that clinicians can monitor remotely.
