Sotera® Wireless CNO Rosemary Kennedy To Address Southern California ANIA Chapter
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sotera® Wireless today announced that Dr. Rosemary Kennedy, the Company's chief nursing officer and a recognized innovator in nursing informatics, will discuss advances in continuous monitoring and surveillance technology during a webinar to be held on September 30, 2015 at 12 p.m. Pacific time. The Southern California chapter of the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) is sponsoring the event.
"In today's healthcare environment nurses play a pivotal role in the identification and prevention of complications that can affect patient safety and health," said Kennedy. "Increasingly, nurses want to understand how surveillance and the use of continuous vital sign monitoring in non-ICU hospital settings can enhance nursing practice and patient safety."
Rapid-fire changes in health care technology have driven the growth of nursing informatics, making education key for these professionals who work in a wide variety of settings blending nursing practice and technology. Participants of the ANIA webinar will:
- verbalize the definition of nursing surveillance and provide examples in practice,
- recall one national driver for vital sign surveillance along with implications for nursing practice,
- verbalize the impact of advanced surveillance technology on patient outcomes, and
- verbalize three patient outcomes related to nursing surveillance interventions.
