Sony Square NYC Unveils "The Sony Music Experience"
Guests are Invited to Step into the World of a Sony Music Recording Artist with This New Free Exhibit
NEW YORK, March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Square NYC is thrilled to unveil its latest exhibit -- The Sony Music Experience -- which will be on display from March 14 through April 25, 2018.
The Sony Music Experience is comprised of several different interactive components and is inspired by a day in the life of a Sony Music recording artist.
Below is an overview of what visitors to Sony Square NYC will be able to see and do:
Recording Booth: Think you've got what it takes? Sony Square NYC invites visitors to put their singing skills to the test karaoke-style and step inside a custom booth to record a vocal track for one of ten songs available. Upon completion, the singer will be provided with both an audio and video recording that can be shared with friends and posted on their social channels.
Album Cover Shoot: Do you want to unleash your inner star? Sony Square NYC has built a 3D photo shoot set which enables visitors to be inserted into the cover artwork for DJ Khaled's bestselling album Major Key.
Once the photo is complete, visitors will get a digital copy of the picture for their own use.
Video Shoot: Who among us hasn't wanted to star in a music video? Well, now is your chance! Visitors to Sony Square NYC will have the opportunity to be digitally added to Meghan Trainor's music video "All About That Bass" by dancing in front of a green screen. Once complete, visitors will receive a digital copy of their custom video to post and share.
And what music experience would be complete without the opportunity to listen and buy? Visitors to the music exhibit will be treated to a very special pop-up store, where fans can listen to over 20 Sony Music recordings on vinyl. There will also be limited edition merchandise for sale, such as t-shirts and hoodies.
To round out the exhibit, visitors will be able to see a large collection of Sony Music memorabilia, from autographed instruments and album covers to original Polaroids and hand-written lyrics.
Whether you're an aspiring music artist or simply a music fan, this exhibit is not to be missed!
Sony Square NYC is located at 25 Madison Avenue and is open to the public Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.sony.com/square-nyc/.
