Sony Pictures To Conduct Open Casting Call For Leading Role In The Film Adaptation Of "HEAVEN IS FOR REAL"
Open casting calls to take place in Southern California for leading role of 'Colton Burpo' in the film based on the best-selling book
LOS ANGELES, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Pictures is conducting open casting calls this week in Southern California for the leading role of 'Colton Burpo' in their upcoming film adaptation of the best-selling book HEAVEN IS FOR REAL. The book was written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent and released in November 2010, where it debuted at #3 on the New York Times bestseller list. The film will be shot in late Spring/early Summer.
The casting calls are specifically looking for a boy who can play the lead character, Colton Burpo, a Caucasian, blonde haired, blue eyed boy 4 to 5 years old with a lovely singing voice. No prior acting experience is required.
Those interested can choose between 1 of 2 days to participate in Southern California – Saturday, April 27th from 11:30am-2:30pm at the Palm Garden Hotel (495 N. Ventu Park Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320 – free parking at hotel) OR Sunday, April 28th from 12pm-3pm at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel (900 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 – free parking at Fashion Island or $4/hour parking at hotel).
