WINTER PARK, Fla., Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonny's BBQ is spicing up National Pork Month by declaring Oct. 12 National Pulled Pork Day. To celebrate, local Sonny's BBQ Pitmasters have created new pulled pork recipes for a celebratory holiday menu in the restaurants and will attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest serving of pulled pork.

Pulled pork is a staple of National Pork Month, celebrated in October annually by barbecue fans across the United States. Revered specifically in the South, the pulled pork sandwich is a barbecue classic, perfected by Sonny's BBQ with their Southern-style pulled pork technique. To honor this tradition, Sonny's BBQ has declared Oct. 12 National Pulled Pork Day.

Sonny's BBQ will then end the day with an attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest serving of pulled pork in their hometown of Winter Park, Fla.
