Sonnette Kotze Named Vice President of Finance for Maryland Live! Casino

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md., Jan. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Maryland Live! Casino today announced that Sonnette Kotze has been named Vice President of Finance for the new $500 million gaming and entertainment destination currently in development at Arundel Mills. Ms. Kotze brings more than 15 years of international gaming and financial management experience to her new position.

As Vice President of Finance, Ms. Kotze is responsible for the development and management of the property's finance departments, including accounting, payroll, income & revenue audit, purchasing, warehouse operations, count rooms and the casino cage.

A native of South Africa, Ms. Kotze began her gaming career in 1997 as the Casino Controller for Tsogo Sun, a gaming company in South Africa. She went on to serve as the Assistant Director of Finance for the Gold Reef City Casino in Johannesburg, before moving to the United States to join Sun International Resorts in Ft. Lauderdale as a Staff Accountant. In 2002, Ms. Kotze joined Penn National Gaming as Financial Controller for the company's Casino Rouge, in Baton Rouge, LA, and Director of Finance, for the Bullwhackers Casino, in Black Hawk, CO. Increased financial management responsibility followed her to Tucson, AZ, in 2008, where she was named Director of Finance and, ultimately, Vice President of Finance for Sol Casinos.
