New digital version of Campus Technology Magazine will feature on-demand session webcasts
MADISON, Wis., July 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the trusted market leader for lecture capture, enterprise and event webcasting, today announced that as part of its long term partnership with Campus Technology, the company's Mediasite webcasting platform will be used to record breakout and general conference sessions for the seventh consecutive year. The conference is taking place July 16 to 19 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Mass.
The Campus Technology annual summer conference is the nation's premier higher education technology event. Leading innovators and experts in technology for higher education will guide faculty, instructional designers, eLearning program managers, information technologists and campus administrators into the new realm of teaching and learning. The conference is hosted by 1105 Media, Inc., which provides integrated business-to-business information and media in several publications, including Campus Technology Magazine.
Breakout and general sessions will be recorded via Mediasite and available for on-demand viewing on the Campus Technology 2012 website, as well as on the Campus Technology Magazine website, www.campustechnology.com. 1105 Media recently announced its transition to an all-digital format, which will incorporate numerous multimedia components, such as the on-demand webcasts of its conferences.
"Webcasting our conference via Mediasite not only raises awareness about who we are, but it also allows conference attendees to go back and review what they learned and share it with their colleagues," said Lynn Buchanan, Executive Program Director of Education Events at 1105 Media. "Now that 1105 Media has announced its all-digital format, Campus Technology readers will be able to watch breakout and general sessions on-demand right from Campus Technology Magazine's website, which is an exciting step for us. We're pleased to be once again partnering with Sonic Foundry to share our conference with the masses."
The conference will be webcast via Mediasite by Sonic Foundry, the leading webcasting platform for lecture capture, enterprise webcasting and hybrid events. The patented Mediasite webcasting and video content management system quickly and cost-effectively automates the capture, management, delivery and search of live and on-demand streaming videos and rich media presentations that combine video with slides.
Mediasite users Michael DeMeo of New York Law School, Brian Smith of University of Florida and Mona Aldana-Ramirez of San Antonio College will present during a Technology Classroom session, "Three Case Studies from Leading Video Education Campuses," moderated by Kristin Zurovitch, product marketing manager for Sonic Foundry, at 3 p.m. Eastern on July 17.
