Solo International, Inc. Announces Engagement of Rare Earth Resources for Exploration and Development of Quebec Mineral Claims
MONTREAL, Feb. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Solo International, Inc. (OTC: SLIO) ("Solo International, Inc." or "the Company"), an exploration and development mining company with a focus on deposits of rare earth metals and rare earth elements, has reached an agreement with Rare Earth Resources (Terres Rares Resources) whereby Rare Earth Resources has agreed to assist the Company in its exploration and potential development of the Company's Philadelphia Rare Earth mineral claims located approximately 4 km NE of Notre-Dame-De-La-Salette, Quebec.
Solo International, Inc.'s President, Michel Plante, stated, "Rare Earth Resources has extensive experience in this area; they have staked thousands of acres of geologically viable ground and have either overseen or performed numerous geological programs in the jurisdiction."
About Rare Earth Resources:
Rare Earth Resources (Terres Rares Resources) is a junior mining Exploration Company located in the province of Quebec, Canada. Rare Earth Resources owns numerous claims across Quebec and has staked multiple old mines and locations with proven deposits of precious metals, semi-precious stones, rare earths or industrial minerals such as gold, uranium, molybdenite, brucite, graphite, ilmenite, dolomite, etc. Rare Earth Resources has access to an important network of experts of the mining field, is managed by visionary and meticulous professionals and is supported by a dynamic field team.
The Philadelphia prospect is located approximately 4 km NE of Notre-Dame-De-La-Salette, Quebec and consists of an approximately 60 hectare claim without exploration restrictions. Philadelphia is a past apatite (phosphor) producer. Apatite and rare earth elements (REE) are associated with and often concentrated in carbonatites and associated alkaline rocks. The primary use of apatite is in the manufacture of fertilizer, since it is a source of phosphorus. Apatite is occasionally found to contain significant amounts of REEs and can be used as an ore for those metals since apatite is non-radioactive.
Rare earth metals are strategically important and necessary for the manufacture of, for example, electronics components, motors, glass and automobiles, and as alloying materials in steelmaking.
