Solix, Inc. Named by AARP for the Second Time as One of the Best Employers for Workers Over 50
PARSIPPANY, N.J., June 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Solix, Inc., www.solixinc.com, a leading provider of eligibility determination, qualification program management and customer care services to government, telecommunications, broadband, utility and healthcare organizations; has been recognized as one of the leading employers in the nation for workers over 50 by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
Solix ranked 29th on this year's "Best Employers for Workers Over 50" list and was one of the few organizations, out of the 50 that were selected, that was not a healthcare provider, educational institution or non-profit entity. This was the second time Solix entered and earned inclusion on the list. In 2009, the company ranked 34th for its inaugural "Best Employers" appearance. The biennial rankings are cosponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management and recognize employers with exemplary practices for recruiting and retaining mature workers.
Earlier this year, Solix was awarded its sixth consecutive Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility as well as its fourth consecutive "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" award by the publication NJBIZ.
"We're proud to receive our third award this year that recognizes Solix as an employer that provides valued benefits and a corporate commitment to enabling balance between work and home, career development and flexible options to increase productivity," said Solix CEO John C. Parry. "The AARP award is gratifying because it appreciates the importance of more experienced workers and acknowledges our efforts to engage and support them as we do with all of our workers."
Solix's collection of benefits include an Employee Assistance Program which features professionally trained counselors who are available to help with a variety of issues, such as stress management, family loss, and child and eldercare resources. In addition, the company offers learning and development programs, certification classes and reimbursement for professional membership dues and tuition. Work options include a phased retirement program, compressed work schedule, flextime and telecommuting. Solix also offers comprehensive health and financial benefits including employee wellness programs, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and retirement planning assistance.
