Solix, Inc. Expands Corporate Citizenship Program with Executive Sponsored Volunteer Series
PARSIPPANY, N.J., Sept. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its long tradition of assisting nonprofits through its employee volunteer program and sponsorships, Solix, Inc. has broadened its efforts to include a new volunteer series that brings executives and staff together to work on-site at a charitable organization for a day.
During the course of the year, company leaders have issued a call for volunteers throughout the organization to join them in providing support at a local charity or event. Team projects already held this year in New Jersey include assisting Habitat for Humanity at local construction sites, sorting and repacking food for distribution at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey as well as working in its thrift store, and supporting Employment Horizons by spending a day with its clients at its facility. Executives from finance, accounting, corporate compliance and human resources are among those that have already participated in the program and additional projects are being planned for the remainder of the year throughout the state.
This new series of volunteer projects is the latest example of Solix fostering a culture of service while also enabling teamwork and camaraderie with colleagues at all levels throughout the company. Solix has an active community service program that includes two full or four half paid volunteer days for employees, a "Charity of the Month" program, matching gifts and support of fundraisers throughout the year.
